Incident Commander: Emergency Response© is a 24 hour, management level course for emergency managers who wish to go beyond the basic organization and management skills. This course focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage large or small emergencies using the Incident Command System. It also provides detailed information on incident planning and prepares you with knowledge, techniques and materials to develop, implement, evaluate and revise incident action plans. Hands-on exercises utilizing actual incident operations including hazardous materials spills, floods, searches, fires and VIP visits, reinforce each lesson. The graduate will be prepared to manage Level 3 Incidents and fully support Level 2 Incidents.
